Usoa Ostolaza (Laboral Kutxa-Fundación Euskadi) secured a solo victory on stage 2 on the Tour Féminin des Pyrénées atop the famed Col d’Aubisque.
The Spanish rider completed 26 seconds forward of runner-up Valentina Cavallar (Arkéa – B&B Accommodations Ladies) and 58 seconds forward of her Laboral Kutxa-Fundación Euskadi teammate Yurani Blanco.
The queen stage 2 was a shorter 96km that began in Pierrefitte-Nestalas however completed on the prime of the 16km Col d’Aubisque.
Ostolaza caught lone breakaway rider Cavallar with 4 kilometres to go and constructed her lead out to 26 seconds earlier than she crossed the road with the win.
With just one stage remaining on Sunday, Ostolaza leads the general classification by 31 seconds, 31 seconds forward of Cavallar, and 58 seconds forward of Blanco.
